I have a problem!!

I have changed the air and diesel filters on my 200 TDi 110. It now smokes more!!! Its black smoke, over fuelling I think It use to smoke a little but why has it gotten worse?

I am doing the oil and filter tomorrow!!!

is it under load or just all the time?

either the new air filter is duff and your not getting enough air through it

or the fuel filter was clogged and the fuelling on the pump was adjusted up to suit. you may need to turn the diafram back a bit.

try running it with the old air filter just to see if it make a difference

Yes its under load. I think its over fueling. I am taking it to a diesel speicalist next week to have it looked at.

Ouch sounds expensive, if its just overfueling under load you need to tweek the on boost fueling back a tad. its v easy to do just do a search on here for "fuel pump tweak" you just need to un-tweek it a bit

I know the man whos doing so its should not hurt my wallet to much. I am out in it tomorrow so I will see how bad it is.

I was going to look into getting more power out of it anyway, so I will let him do the lot. I have read about tweaking it on a few forums. But I dont like doing like that. I dont mind welding and things like that.
