Its a good idea and I say go for it perhaps if we all start to voice our side of the argument then we may get a bit more representation.
However I wrote to my MP (Dave Anderson Blaydon, labour)  back in feb of this year about he same subject
I got a nice letter back assuring me he would contact the office of the minister of transport Malcolm "anti 4x4" Wicks and reply once he had a responce ....
I'm still waiting.

I wonder if these people remember who put them where they are ....I dought it

Or will something along the lines of this help.
Dear Sir/Madam
I wish to express a concern against the blatant attempt to ban access to the countryside for disabled and deprived members of the population .
This ban would involve the banning of vehicular access using greenlanes / byways and prevent the affected people from viewing, what the rambler association members and horse riders can take for granted,
I would like to point out that no one makes a wheelchair that is as capable as a four wheel drive and has the ability to carry  disabled people as far and in comfort and in numbers.
I hope you will publically support my concern and voice them to the Transport minister and not privately refer them to him for his comments,
as he seems to have an  anti- four by four agenda which will stop me taking the disabled and deprived into places of great beauty that others would take for granted ...... yours faithfully

It would appear that by the way the labour goverment of which you are an mp for, are behaving towards the 4x4 community of which i am a part of is highly discrimintory, in so far as you will fall over backwards to help other minorities to acheive their aims and give more than enough of our money to fund their causes.
I as a taxpayer expect YOU as a representative of myself and numerous others to have an unbiased opinion and deal with our plight with a fair and open mind, and not the underhand and back stabbing way in which it is being dealt with.
Our fore fathers would turn in their graves at the undemocratic way this country is being steered towards an oppressive dictatorship that will not give the people any choice, take a lesson in history Hitler tried to stop freedom of choice and failed so what gives you the right to control us to the nth degree ........ dont forget we employ you and we can get rid of you in a democratic way
