Be careful with the offset of the wheels with 235/85's.
I lifted mine to fit a set of Macho 235/85's I took off my last 110. In my wisdom, I went for putting them straight on before making any arch mods. They were fitted to a set of 8 spoke steels which had quite an obvious positive offset - the intention was always to transfer them over to the standard ES alloys - but being impatient and all that....
Just after fitting, I reversed off the drive down the standard kerb drop at a slight angle, and heard a crunch. Lo and behold, one of the rears had caught the wing - thankfully only pushing it out slightly (and giving a great indication on where to trim :lol: )
Also on the 8 spokes I found the tyres would rub against the edge of the sills. I also had to trim the bumper endcaps straight away, as the tyres hooked behind them the first time they went lock to lock and kind of ripped them off too.
I am sure all these wouldn't have been a problem had I gone straight onto the negative offset alloys - other than perhaps the bumper endcaps.
Just a few things to consider if you do decide not to do any trimming before fitting the tyres.
