Crawled under my 96 Defender 90 to try and see where the blanking plugs for wadeing need fitting and found this



and I couldn't see where I need to fit plugs

can anybody help? :?

Wading plugs screw into the bottom of the bell-housing & the cam-belt chamber.

clearly mechanic's isn't my strong point

The Bell-Housing is the lump that looks like a large half-sphere between the engine & gearbox
The belt housing is the bit at the front where the pullies stick out from that are encircled by the serpentine belt

I'll nip down to my 'snug' & dig out a Drivers Handbook & scan the relevant page

That would be excellent as the vehicle was bought 2nd  hand and did not come with a tool kit hence no plugs.

I've done the job in hand this morning, but the plug's are yours
(or just PM an address & I'll put them in an envelope & stick them through your letter-box)

Might need to borrow when I do the front though :?
