Little Help
« on: May 09, 2006, 12:36:06 »
Just out playing with the series II at the moment, poking about getting some of the "extra" wiring removed and making access to some areas which need attension.

ive noticed to the left of the Clutch a switch on the deck, which I presume is headlight mainbeam??  But above looks like something missing its button top, on the engine side of the bulkhead is like a big valve with a vacuum style pipe, pipes been chopped so its destination doesnt give me any clues at this point.

and finally for now, next to the cold start is a rotary switch, again missing the switch top, whats that for?

Thanks all :)

Usually depending on the size and type of button, it could be either washer pump, dip swotch for headlights as mentioned, or another option with them is the starter button, If I recall is a direct mechanical link to the starter

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Attached to the inside of the wing is a electric washer pump   Unsure of the wiring to that, but there are various extra switches in place.

Ill take some photos tomorrow and upload them to help ;)

Should always remember pictures are better than words.

Starter button is under the instrument panel.

Ta!
