Quick question about exhaust mountings on a 3.5 V8 Disco 1. Are they in the same place on both Cat and non Cat vehicles?
Reason being, I assumed they were, thinking they wouldn't change something as fundemental as that....
I have just replaced my whole exhaust with a non cat one and it was a right royal PITA to fit! It involved "modifying" the first chassis mounted exhaust hanger (with a power saw!) and bodging the baqck box hanger. Then after much levering and rapped knuckles bolting it all together.
Is the exhaust manufacturer the one who screwed up with their 'copy' of LR's design, or was I silly to think that it'd be straight forward, being a landy and all.
