I have removed a few stickers recently (last year's Belgium ones, ready for this year  ) and quite a lot of the glue was left behind.

What's the best thing to use to get rid of it?

whenever i take off decals i,ve used a kettle of boiling water then peeled them off it melts the glue so you can rub it off with a cloth easily then as well

Nice to see you back on here by the way Gordon :D i take it work is still busy then

Heat the stickers up with a hair dryer and they will peel off easily
A wee rub with some petrol will remove any glue residue - just don't rub too hard

Thanks for the welcome, Neal   On top of the mega work load, we recently moved all of our hosting business onto a new server - jeez, what a job that was

I tried that, but found that the stickers just became extremely soft and stretchy .. and kept breaking :(

I'll try and find some "Tar & Glue remover" ... don't have petrol at our household :)

Thinners works really well as long as you are VERY carefull not to rub hard or leave on too long
I used that on my 110 and it was fine - just wasn't sure about passing that on in case of damage to your paint

Or brake cleaner - but then my car doesn't exactly start with a good paint finish so you might want to be a bit careful with this.

Now then Gords . . . plain ole turps substitute from B+Q around £4 for 5lts,  if u warm it up first with a hair dryer(the sticker that is)  u might not even need the turps however if u do,  one soft cloth add some turps rub lightly "hey presto" glue gone,  wash with car cleaner then polish. . . . hmmmmmmm if u must

                                         cheers Plum

eucalyeptus oil (SPELLING) is good for sticky residue. Use it at work to remove residue from tape use to stick up notices etc

I'm fairly sure I tried turps, but it just moved it around!

Even T-Cut didn't get rid of it !?

Think I'll try "Tar & glue remover" if I can find some :-k
