Parabolics again
« on: May 31, 2006, 15:19:42 »
Hi all just bought a 88"2a to go trailing but really need to upgrade the suspension as it has military hd springs on it.

i know you only get what you pay for but has anybody fitted the parabolics that paddocks are selling as the seem to be the cheapest about?
are they any good

mine are great
wether they are better than a brand new set of standard springs i dont know, but i reckon you will get more articulation from them, so long as you fit some longer dampers, too

I use Rocky Mountain Parabolics with Procomp ES9000 dampers. Tyres are 31x10.5x15 (similar height to 7.50's but wider) and am impressed so far

took her for a spin round the yard ( its quite bumpy), and the springs seem very good. the truck still bounces in that typical series way, but the bumps are absorbed really well, and when jacking up the wheels there is a lot of articulation compared with before.
