Pro comp Vitara lift kit?
« on: May 31, 2006, 15:49:41 »
Just recieved a Pro Comp lift kit for my Vitara and I'm a little puzzled by the contents of the box, 4 Springs (2 shorter than the other 2) but only 2 shocks. The box also contains "2 x 40mm front strut spacers".

Can somebody plaese throw some light on this for me please.

Hi marjan,

How big is that lift kit - is it a 1.5 inch one? Also, what size tyres are you running on now?

Just wondering because I'm thinking of modifying my Grand Vitara, see my post at: http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?p=238946.  Any one know the differences between Vitara suspension and GV suspension, or would lift kits fit both?

Cheers,
Nat

Hi Nat,

Yep it's the 1.5 inch one. The tyres are 215/80R15 Colway Mud Terrains but I have had to order some wheel spacers as they catch the chassis on full lock.

Can't help you on the suspension question as this is my first Vitara so I am still learning myself :D
Mark.

Thanks for that. I was thinking possibly going for a 1.5 inch lift, then poss fitting spacers for another inch or so if I wanted more!!

Cheers,
Nat

Swmbos has standard springs with 1"spacers on and 225/75 X15 Colway ATs on and there is no problems with catching.

I have been told that fitting LWB Vitara springs can give approx 2" lift   any comments
