Spotted at Tixover today a new 90inch wheelbase disco!!

or was it too much loud pedal when cross axled? ...oopps

Tim and I winched it straight (ish)

Also it was driven home like that!    well with the axle held back with a (my) ratchet strap between the shocker mount and the towbar!

Ed,

it was bent - 'S' shaped

the diff pinion was pointing upwards bigstyle, the coilsprings where banana shaped , but luckily all seemed to be intact aside from the raduis arm - very lucky I would say.

The radius arms on this disco seemed ever so thin, about half the thickness of those on my 90.

Suffolk LR club had one like that at Newbourne (last year, I think). That one bent the rod into a nice big arch. Are Discos more prone to it than Defenders?

The earlier Discoveries had ickle weenie thin rear radius arms, and so yes they are more prone to it.

As time went on, LR realised that it was a daft thing to have done and put on the same size arms as they had been fitting the the 90 / 110 / Range Rover for years....

the radius arms looked about 15mm or so

shame about the piccy, was hoping for one with my wheel in the air like tim in tigger!      

I must admit that I didnt think I was going to make it up that Hill, I didnt see many (only Tim)  that did ... so i just stuck me boot down and crossed me fingers!!
