right , almost had enough now
i replaced the rad, and water pump the other day along with the P gasket, no problems there. cleaned the intercooler lovely black gunk came out. blanked off the egr and replaced the top hose with a non egr type. definately more power now.
but and there always is, on replacing the aux belt she has developed a very high pitched squeel and sort of ticking noise.
if i spray wd40 on the pulleys it stops for a while then returns. it seem to be from the ribbed side of the belt and predominately from the water pump pulley is causing the noise.
i thought it might have been the pump but then appling wd40 to the pulley itself it stops. 10 minutes later its back. it gets worse on acceleration. it sounds like a slipping belt at times ( the squeel) but then stops and becomes a frantic tapping / ticking noise.
not good when you arrive home off nights at 6, neighbours must love me :twisted:
does any of this make sense to anyone or is it back to the garage and more money
