Went to Japan once & really enjoyed the food (the fish is sooooo fresh) but I never ate whale. The worst thing I ate was a large Sea Snail. They blanch it in boiling water to bring it out of it's shell then put a cocktail stick through the 2 ends. When it arrives on your plate you have to grab the stick, pull it out if its shell & shove it in your mouth. It was revolting!!!

Ok, you know when you see a slug, its outer skin has a scaly appearance, well imagine you can feel every scale on your tongue, & you're sure its just twitched, with a load of Japanese enjoying what they're having & you've got to chew it & swallow it!
