Does anyone know the proper way to dispose of an empty CO2 Fire Extingusher... There was one in the back of the 110 when we bought it.

Cheers,
David.

Judging by what I've seen round here, you throw it in the woodland somewhere. :x  But thanks for reminding me, I think my powder extinguisher is caput, and given I drive a Land Rover with Lucas wiring, it's probably time to get another.

i would imagine you could take it to a recycling tip and place it with the fridges as they have the gas bottle in so they might dispose of it the same way.

check your local council website and see whats listed about your recycling place or local tip as some would say

Most tips wont take them.

However if its truly discharged most scrappers will take them :) Often the bodies are substantial aluminium.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

I don't know if it is fully discharged, but I took it into the back garden, stood upwind from it and pulled the trigger and very little happened, and the dail says low on the side.

Possibly but tbh I don't really have a need/want for it.

Unless anyone wants one? Don't know what postage would cost but you could have it for that if you wanted.
