You might like to have a look and see if the hi lift is the next in line to get caught.
I've managed to catch my rear bumper while playing. If your hi lift got caught and if it's mounted on the spare then it might damage the door.

i mounted it too low when i put it back on after yesterday

it should be mounted higher dont worry
