My indicators, both left and right dont work. However the hazards do. The light on the dash dosent light up even when the hazards are on. Ive checked the fuse and the switch. Any one have any idea why there seems to be a lack of power to the switch?

Could be a blown bulb in the dash & a faulty indicator stalk/switch???
Are you sure power is actually "NOT" reaching the stalk/switch??

Try the indicator relay not sure on defenders but it may be an independant unit from the one for the hazards

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Defently no power reaching the switch, as neither left or right work. Dont know about the relay, any idea on which one it is, a guess is as good as any thing? There's 2 that ive not tried, but there the same and have tried to swap them over no joy.

Cheers RedlineMike, took the switch out, took it apart and bodged it back together. Ive now got indicators but no hazards  . That can get sorted tommorow with a new switch. Ive just got to put the dash back together and remember where all the screws go. Wounder how many ill have left over? :?
