hand brake adjustment

hi all. just a quick question. might be a daft one though  :oops: ....my disco has failed its mot on a few silly things. one being the hand brake adjustment. now the lever only comes up 3 clicks.  so nowt wrong that end. to adjust the hand brake shoes do i winde the nut clock wise or anti clock wise to push shoes out? im sorta thinking clock wise.  and would this be the adjustment i need to make?

looking at the bolt head of the adjuster you should need to tighten clockwise as this then pushes the wedges out in side and adjusts the brake

:wink:  :wink:  thanks m8  :D  :D  :D ... thats that sorted tomorrow then .....now i just have to sort out head light alignment.... the garage that did my front brake discs have alot of answering to do. i had an argument with them about 2 months ago about my front discs being warped. they didnt agree and wanted to charge me 60 pounds labour to swap them util they had them tested....

well my disco failed on 2 warped front brake discs ....funny huh  :wink: ...so just waiting for them to get back to me now as to when i will be getting my new set fitted.

should work out to be a good mot this year......well except having to pay twice....

Give the mot bill to the garage that fitted the warped discs, if they dont pay up,  take them to the small claims court for some compensation.
