Brake lines
« on: July 05, 2006, 23:04:59 »
Hi Everyone,
I have some AP 4pot calipers from another car and was going to fit them to my 300 Disco but mine is an ES with ABS and I assume it's twin a twin line and was wondering what problems I may incur if I went to single a single line system. I'd like to keep the ABS if I could.
Thanks

Andy

So you want to replace your twin line callipers with single line?

Well the callipers are the same internally, your problem would come with the master cylinder as you would be having one side do all the work rather than it going half and half on the 2 circuits.

Currently the 2 circuits do the front primaries and the front secondaries/rears.

You would end up with the front primaries/secondaries on one and the rears on the other.

I wouldn't like to say how well that would work.
