That looks like FUN!!!

We are only a few miles away and we got enough rain to damp down the dust

That was very kind of that woman in the Rover to jump-start the Rangie.
I hope she didn't ask for any money

just sent

Yesterday there was flooding on wergs road, around 4.30pm ....several cars were stranded both heading in and out of wolverhampton, and also on the entrance/exit of yew tree lane.
The fire brigade were called although by the time they were arrived, local 4x4 owners had already recovered the stranded vehicles and their passengers.
Traffic was chaos as a result of the flooding with several people running out of petrol stuck in the queue.

with a few pics

i'll let them elaborate....they're good at bending the truth in the express and star...

Clearly more people should drive 4x4's - not less!

I was 40 minutes late for work yesterday- and the cause? A bloody 4" deep puddle that no-one would drive through!!!!

When i used do seasonal work at Chester zoo ill always remember one of the lads coming back looking a bit sheepish, we had had heavy rain for several days and he had taken the site bin wagon to the land fill site. Normally you have to drive through a wheel wash on the way out, but because of the rain it had filled up with water so logic says go around it.... not him, he decides to go through the wheel wash at full tilt. The force pushing the water up over the cab and in to the air intake at the back of the cab. resulting in a knackered engine.

Apparently it sat in the wheel wash for a couple of days until they could sort out it's recovery.
