so does any one know of a company that make custom length props.

Ive fabbed 2 props, got the rear spot on(local prop balancing company said it didnt need any work(no bill at all, I was pleased)
My tried and tested method is to tag it in place with a couple of small welds, car on axle stands, fit prop.
Mark a white line along the prop, and set the car running in 1st gear.
Watch the prop. as it spins, watch if it goes out of true. Use the line you marked to guage the position.
Next time around, tap the high point with a hammer.....
Continue.......
When theres no discernible runout, carefully unbolt it and add small tacks round the joint before finally welding it up. Preferrably in 1 continuous bead...
The only thing I bust is UJ spiders cos it all runs at daft angles on full droop.

Dont give up, it can be done. Make sure as well that the join has a good groove to weld into, so the bead doesnt just sit on the surface.

As far a prop shops, I can recommend Propshaft Technology in Rotherham, South Yorks.

Good guys, know all about 4x4 and race car/stock car props as well(eh Bulli)

thanks for that, i dont think it is entirly the props fault, but i do need some proper ones.
  i will give them a call tomorrow.

i will put new spiders and needles in my and run it again, and see what happens.

any tips on reconning the UJ's on props?

Andy can make up some big angle(35 not poxy 30) i'd give propshaft technology a buzz as Rolla said they are really helpful and approachable.
