Colour matching paint

I have seen a colour that I really want to paint my Land Rover.  I have a sample of the paint.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a colour match (recommendations please).

I was told it was quite expensive though!

It is a flat colour!

A decent paint supplier to bodyshops will have the spectrometer and kit needed to accuratly match it, however as you only need a "close" match rather than a perfect one go and ask to look at the pantone charts, youll find the colour on there and simply then get the paint mixed up :)

If I get the pantone ref number off Photoshop for the nearest match, will it then be a case of ordering, or will that be a bit hit and miss?

look for a car the same colour and get the paint code from it

Did think of that but my son's "Hot wheels" toy did'nt come with one! :D

Very very hit and miss, unless you use a properly calibrated monitor, which is highly unlikely and even then itll be hit and miss.

Take the car in, they will have whole booklets of colour swatches to match ti too, youll find somthing no probs.
