hi
i have an oil leak looks like its coming from the front of rthe exhaust manifold  :(

would this affect the pulling away power ? as it seems a bit sluggish when pulling away  :(
also get smoke when i start the engine but not while normal driving

Hi
  Had the same problem with my 300tdi, turned out to be the turbo passing oil, take the intercooler hose off and see if there is any oil in it,
hope this helps.
If it's working leave it alone

sorry to tell you but it needs to be changed, ( £600.)

i got one second hand from a crashed disco, ( £150.) its sound now.
If it's working leave it alone

just checked the hoses either side of the turbo.
cant see any oil to speak of  :D so i am hoping its only the manifold gasket  8)
but i did find that a hole was in the intake pipe that had been bodged with some mastik so i guess i should change this while i am at it  :roll:
