Ideas for stickers
« on: July 18, 2006, 21:03:39 »
On Discovery owners there is a thread going on about ideas for stickers.....any one here think of any

My suggestions

Maybe ramblers should think about the impact their vehicles make on the countryside..............

I don't spoil the view by parking in the countryside all day!
And GREENPEACE waste gallons of fuel on their inflatibles dinghys and ships

I use less fuel tha a GREENPEACE dirigible

I chose a 4x4 so don't infringe my HUMAN RIGHTS and I'll not infringe yours!

At the risk of stirring up a real hornets nest...........

the RA and others did not get rupps recalssified by sitting quietly and not not complaining.

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

This is true, sitting back has got us nowhere - time for a more vocal approach before we lose everything.

i sport a 4x4 prejudice sticker myself.
i think such aggrevating statements dont help our cause, it just creates more bad feeling, and in this social climate i think most people will be happy to jump on the anti 4X4 band wagon if they had to choose.
well informed facts are the only way we are going to keep our lifestyle.

some people thought i was mad for selling my 2 yaer old car and getting a 92 range rover, until i tell them how far 20 pounds gets me in the rangie and how far it got me in the new car! i always add just because its new doesn't mean its echonimical and that the rangie is there for more enviromently freindly as it doesn't use more fuel. this usually leaves them saying 'how i didn't know that!'

Without wishing to add fuel to a fire, but merely pointing something out, dare I say the words?;
Kinder Scout, mass trespass & 1933( or whatever the correct date actually was)

Even then the ramblers wanted to go wherever they felt like, be it private estates, or moorland
