hasn't made the beeb website as yet, but just noticed that because "chelsea tractors are getting smaller" chelsea bridge is to have the traffic restrictions on it changed.

Are these the same tractors that are too big for the city and create all the extra congestion & pollution, that should be made smaller and better for the planet?

So if they are getting smaller........whats the problem?

interestingly enough the news item did also mention vans as being a culprit, however the library footage showed 2 4x4s and a single van. a clip of a porker cayenne, and of all things a freelander with a vw van behind it in the background

was in the dentist waiting room this morning, as usual going though a few old car mags
found one from may with an article about congestion charges in london
it basicaly said that councils who promote congestion charges and parking restrictions are being voted out by angry public and traders loosing business
even ken has been told these charges are not popular
but he only seems to listen to the strange voices in his head

With all things cars get developed and made depending on demand and the need or want is for 4x4’s at this time, and as time goes by they will be built to better standards with less pollution and then what will the people that ‘hate’ 4x4’s have to moan about ? (Example the new Lexus with electric powered axles)

It’s about badly educated idiots with too much power and Ken Livingstone is just one more fine example.

Since I forst posted this, I read the rag on the way west to the bash and noticed he has actually come up with a couple of good ideas for transport.

Jaywalking legislation, a law that will actually put at least some of the onus of responsiblilty on the idiots that step out and then "its all the drivers fault". Could that mean a return to teaching road safety to youngsters???

Odd thing is I have to pay congestion charges in every motor I drive apart from the one I have my disabled tax on, that happens to be a 7 seated Zafira I have a feeling it will be changed onto one of the Landrover’s soon.

Oh and I shall be one of the many people polluting London today as I visit the bint-in-laws AND the Natural history museum going in said Zafira so no RED KEN gains tax.
