OK, I'll rephrase the question...

Whose death were you least apathetic about?

Well, she was a damn fine musician.

But it's odd she died a rock-n-roll death like those who choked on a ham sandwich, fell down the stairs and fell off their roof adjusting the TV aerial.

Bonus points if you can name the three...  2 singers and an entertainer.

Apathy ... I can't be bothered thinking about it

I'm the same as a couple of the earlier posts other peoples deaths don't really cross my mind and if it's mine I won't be around to moan about it so none of the above

 what a morbid question

You and me both, but Kirsty MacColl did at least write some fun songs.

I have a friend called Linda Smith, so the poll freaked me out a little.  She just replied to an e-mail, so I can assume it's another Linda Smith.

Linda and Kirsty both had talents but who else was appalled by the way the sheep of this country fell to peices when Diana died. Never seen such a waste of grief in my life. It's sad that a family lost it's mother, sister etc, but no more than when anyone else (Mira Hindly et al excluded) dies. Four british soilders died last week protecting this countries interests(lets not discuss rights and wrongs of where they are) not out on the razz with boyfriend and the country isn't in morning.

Chris Penn dying was more upsetting than those mentioned above though I still wasn't too worried.
If I wanted a clever answer, I'd have asked a clever person!

I was saddened when Spike Milligan shuffled off the mortal coil. He was one of (Still is , I suppose) my comedy heroes. A great wit and genius, who else could get away with calling Prince Charles a grovelling little b*st*rd?
I think the epitaph on his stone summed it up his humour. "I told you I was ill".
A truly great person.

Diana? A victim of a road crash, in a car being driven by a drink driver. Enough said.

Freddie Mercury was the only death of a " famous " person to have hit me hard.

But, as some of you may know, a young and close family friend died recently. At 15 years old, to die seems such a waste.
