Whats the daftest you have fitted 2 your vehicle?
« on: August 05, 2006, 20:19:09 »
:D Come on then what is the daftest thing you will admit to fitting to your own vehicle? I have 6 map reading lights and loads of LEDs everwhere....not to mention 10 forward facing spotlights 8 white forward facing sidelights etc... etc...Oh and Red dwarf as a bonnet mascot....

150 watt KC Day-Lighters to my first car, a Vauxhall Chevette

It didn't really go fast enough to need them, but they were bright!!!
Used to really make a differance on pre-dawn trips to Lancaster & Morecambe via the A65 & then through Arkholme & Over-Kellet.

I did toy with that idea when I painted the 101, but I thought I might look like the UN, to a trigger-happy insurgent.  And while I was in Senegal, some insurgents hijacked a UNESCO 4x4, although they did think better of it and gave it back again.

Surley it'd be Neither Kellet, as Over Kellet would take you down into Carnforth.

I know  , going up the A65 as far as Kirkby Lonsdale, then it was always Morecambe first to wake up/eat with/pick-up friends up who had a flat there & attended Lancaster University.
We used to make a point of going to the Ashton Memorial

Morecambe Ramblings;

I remember someone in Over-Kellet used to keep Llamas in a field at the road-side

I also remember 'Steam-Town' being in operation (now the site of WCML railway company at Carnforth)

Getting off the train on the sea-front before they moved the station.

Bruccianis coffee-bar for an Ice-Cream, with all that original interior

I regret never going in the Midland Hotel when it was open & eagerly await its full restoration (ditto the 'Winter Gardens')

Sad to see that the Super Swimming Stadium is all but gone, with just a couple of walls left

Sleeping in the car at Hest Bank & being woken every half-hour or so by trains

Misjudging the tide-times down at Sunderland Point & having to sit it out by the pub (only once!, always checked on subsequent visits  )

Happy Mount Park with all its illuminations :D

Watching a film at the old ODEON cinema.

Know that run well - Used to to it twice a day from school and back (It was always either that way or to follow the A65 to crooklands Roundabout and then take the A6070).

Steamtown, now that was a while ago. Still some classic stuff in their though. Shame you can't get in.

The old station is now "The Platform" bar/hall thingy, the station is just up behind blockbuster.

And I haven't been in Happy mount park since I was about 6.

I realise my mistake btw, the quickest way would actually go into Over Kellet, then turn by the green in the middle and follow the road up, past a mates farm and into Neither Kellet that way. Then though there and take one of the two options.
1. Just after the motorway bridge turn off and that takes you past the Television Mast and into Lancaster by the army barracks
OR
2. Straight on which takes you into Bolton-Le-Sands and then through hest bank.

Sorry to upset you, but, they're not legal for road use on a post 1973 vehicle.
(that's jumping to the conclusion that they'refitted to one)

It's not gonna be my main horn, it's wired of a separate circuit, so is this still legal? :? ( i won't use them on the road anyway  )

A landmeter. Everytime I get to the point where I might use it I think the money would have been better spent on a change of underwear.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it ain't dirty, do something about it!!

Yeah, I know it's not white and it's not a 90 but my last one was :-)
