I'd read about these girls before in one on the Sunday paper supplements/magazine.
But, on Monday night I had Radio 2 on, I'm not sure what programme it was, but it was definately post-'Ginger-Whinger'
They were singing The Smiths 'Panic' (that's the one with the line; "Hang The DJ!" (must've been thinking of Chris Evans)

What a great sound, The Andrews Sisters brought up to date, their websiteshow-cases theircover of (Kate Bushs') 'Wuthering Heights', & surprisingly it works very well :D

I've seen the TV ad for the CD. It's being pushed quite hard on some of the satelite channels. Although I've not previously been great fan of that style of music, it does sound tempting.

I would rather remove my ear drums with a corkscrew than sit through their album..... my boss said that if he wanted to live in the forties he'd move there!  ](*,)

I certainly am, ever since Johnnie moved on, I make an exception for when Stuart Maconie  takes over from Ginger.
It goes back on at 19:00 for Nick Barraclough, Mike Harding , Bob Harris & Suzi Q

Mark Radcliffe gets some attention as well (but not as good as his initial Radio 1 show; 'Out On Blue 6')
Richard A Thackeray
Defender 110Td5 'Heritage Gone, but not forgotten
Jaguar XKR; X88 JLT, also 'gone, but not forgotten'

Mine normally stays off, and I ignore whatever rubbish is on TV instead - can't see the picture as it runs through the same screen as Internet Explorer.
Do like to catch Bob Harris though - that man is responsible for much of my CD collection - late night show on Radio 1 back in my student days - wouldn't have survived it without.

Getting quite into Tom Robinson's show which is on in the background at the moment.
