i dont no about them much, more superwinch and warn 8274 lover, dont no what way the gears go off top of me head aswel tried to picture them but just cant remember, afink there are dots stamped into the gears but might be a different winch, but if there is they must point to motor, o and also so planetery gearbox's need to be timed up with the planet and sun gears like superwinch x6 :P  dont mean to scare you
try giving phil at  p.g winches a call he will help you out

Thumbs

I got my T-Max 12,500.......first time I used it it went a tad 'haywire'. Something in the drum failed....so whilst the winch worked it made a hell of a racket & over heated & was slower than a slow thing!

To be fair on T-Max...they instantly replaced the winch & were very apologetic!

Hope you get yours sorted! Mine's going to be relegated to the back of the truck as soon as I can afford to replace it!

Further to my last......the replacement winch has now failed in exactly the same way as the first!

Used it in anger for the first time yesterday.......became so hot in a short pull that you couldn't put your hand on my ARB bumper!!
The freewheel unit is now not working & winch vibrates & rattles so much I can't hear the engine! (Identical symptoms to the last winch!)

Apparently I am exasperating the problem by using plasma rope, as the wire rope obviously helps dissipate the heat build up!
Whilst I understand the logic of that.....I'm completely unimpressed!

So....in short! Time to save up & buy a real winch! Two faulty winches is my limit!

T-Max to the back of the truck please!

Roofus!

T-max winches are made in china, but have a picture of a kangaroo on the box, hence the australian connection.

Ive got a t-max 'outback' 10000lb pull wireless remote, bridge style controls.

Its bloody quiet, and very strong. Pulled my zook(a wee bit heavier than Suzuki ever intended) on a dead pull, over big rocks(frickley rock crawl at the top) for maybe 30-40 feet, pulled fine, nice and strong, motor hot when Id done, but not so hot you couldnt leave your hand on it.

Recommended.

Ive just found my user manual, so if you still need a diagram, I can try to scan it and stick it on here

rolla
Go on....cut me in half........it says SUZUKI all the way thru the middle!!

t-max are a australian company, but have their products ( design) produced in china as it costs penuts to produce as labour is alot cheaper ie give em a bowl of rice and you get a electric winch, which is why they are so cheap
