I had a long think and I'd have to say my experience is they drive just about anything - even push bikes

Personal verdict from the 2000+ miles a week I do, BMW drivers, followed by luton skip(vauxhall) drivers.
If I wanted a clever answer, I'd have asked a clever person!

my opinion......everyone else on the road

No seriously, i'd have to say we dont have a big problem here in the Borders with bad drivers..... as theres not much traffic on the roads, but when i hit a major town or leave the area...then its BMW/Merc drivers hands down. Followed closely by white vans.

Agreed. BMW 3 series. God knows what it is, maybe the plastic gives off some 'idiot' fumes or something.

Judging by what ends up in the ditches/hedges/feilds near me, it doesn't matter what you drive including the odd discovery.

Bikers are just as bad as cars with approx an even number of each ****ing up, though the bikers tend to be a lot more pleasent about it. One iritanble car drive once demanded a farmer neighbour to pull out his car from a hedge late one evening. the driver got his just reward, the front cross member was tucked over a tree stump, so the car got literally riped in half when it was towed out backwards    .

i ride daily to and from work and the people i like least are a new breed....the aggressive young woman driver. Dont know what it is but they seem to be poorly skilled speed freaks.
Nearly punched a removal driver yesterday who pulled over without indicating and then him and his mate were having a right laugh at my expense.....luckily im a much better rider than he is a driver and sensed it coming.

Volvo drivers followed by "fur coat and no knickers" drivers (drivers whose car is worth more than the contents of their house, mostly mercs and BMWs), , then bus drivers, then OAPs who really should give up driving.

Best revenge so far was a volvo stuck trying to drive on a wet camping field.
"Can you give me a tow?"
"sorry but no"
"why not?"
"Its a volvo and everybody else is safer with it there"
2 hours later he got off the field.

Tried to do the same at Towcester but somebody else in a 90 was much more helpfull than me.

Funny that. Camping once and a BMW driver was pointing and laughing at Piglet and making a loud noise about "how pointless is that?!".

A nice old chap wandered over to him, puffing on his pipe, and looked over, grinned, and said "Wait till it rains mate - you'll be wanting the use of that fine piece of British workmanship".

BMW driver frowns and asks why. Old bloke just laughs and grins over at us.

Suffice is to say when the BMW driver made to leave it was raining. Oh how we ALL laughed. He only got his van a *bit* dirty <grin>. Then when he realised he asked for a tow.

"Can't mate, no where to attach  - had a beer". <snigger>

We watched him for about 10 minutes until the warden turned up, told him off and got the camp 4x4 to tug his van out ;-)

Nissan Micra drivers - no competition !

Doesn't matter what Mk - driving one is like an admission that you can't actually drive.

When ever I am stuck behind a queue of traffic ( frequently !) at the head of it, if it's car, it's a Micra ! Doing no more than 45mph in a 60.

Don't believe me ? Next time your held up on an 'A' road - look for the infernal thing at the front.

oap's driving 4x4's pulling caravans..

a) they dont go faster than 40
b) have no idea about the length of what they're driving
c) are unable to find the indicators
d) like to brake 1/2 a mile before they need to

and...

the caravan is waay too small for the vehicle they use it for

bloody status symbol!

Hey, wait a minute, I used to have a Volvo!  Actually, even since I've not had one, I can honestly say I've not noticed Volvo drivers as being particularly worse than anybody else.

But I agree with the BMW idea, and I'd like to toss Mercedes into the pot.  Drive near Heathrow at a busy time and you'll soon get fed up of them.  Some are badly-driven taxis, some are drug dealers, others are just upmarket repmobiles.  The best are the ones that drive down the hard shoulder to get around the traffic.
