Will 235/85x16 tyres fit a RRC,they are standard road going tyres?

They are a bit big without a lift.  Mine stand 32"ish tall.

The straight answere to "will they fit is yes and no!

You can bolt them straight on, but you will find they will catch badly when you turn the steering wheel or the axles articulate unless modifications are made to the suspension/body/steering. The tyre dimensions relate to the carcus of the tyre, not the outside of the rubber, so road tread tyres would probably fit better then serious mud terrain tyres.

In practice the answer without modification is no.

I've got them on mine but it's lifted.  That said it will go close to the bump stops without catching.
