If your spouse slyly asks you if you want to go and see the Superman film -

WALK AWAY VERY QUICKLY

Seriously, save yourself the entry fee, because I saw it last night and it is honestly one of the most dismal, dreadful films I have ever seen.

In fact I rate it #2 Worst Film of All Time, just behind Life Stinks by Mel Brooks.

If you don't heed my advice, then for goodness' sake take a good book and some night-vision glasses, or at least pay for the extra-comfy Premiere seats so you can get a decent kip.  After 2 and a half hours of it (it makes Lost In Translation [which I liked] look gritty and fast-moving), I was practically gnawing my own arm off.  Alternatively, see it during the day, when at least you can leave and do some shopping instead.

My GOD it was awful!  I can't even begin to describe it.

(With apologies to anybody who actually *liked* the film!)

Well said that man! Saw it with a couple of mates about 3 weeks ago and what a load of tripe! The new Miami Vice is 10x better and then some!

The new superman didn't appeal to me - of all the comic book heroes adapted for the screen it was always the one I liked least anyway.

Superman, superman returns, the new adventures of superman, smallville (the before superman grew up and became fully superman superman - how many variations have their been?

I'm holding out for the "superman fights a giant lobster shaped blamanche during an intense bout of underwater basket weaving" version - surely it's on the cards?

Way back then - life crawled out of the mud, then it decided life was better and crawled back in!

I saw it a while ago (on DVD) and was mildly impressed.
But the quality of the DVD was quite poor.
I was hoping it would look better on the big screen but i guess not then
I still like my picture and location though
