Tow Bar Wiring HELP PLEASE

Hi all,

I have just fitted my tow bar to my 200TDI Disco, and am after ome help witht the wiring.

Can you tell me what wires go where please, I have looked in the HAynes book and its a bit confusing and do I need to ground/earth the wires to the black ground on the car wiring.

Please help.

If you look behind the N/S light cluster you will find a wiring loom there that you can wire the 7 core straight into, if you have genuine electrics simply plug in otherwise some bullet terminals will do.......

There may still be the original plug, situated on the offside rear light unit
on mine

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

Look on the popular caravan web sites, they have all the info and probably a colout chart for a disco
'94 Toyota 4Runner 3.0 TDi

Due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been extinguished.....

Just Google 12N and 12S Electrics and you'll find a couple of sites....

12S is now a doddle with a smart relay....

I believe this is the codes for a 200Tdi

It was lurking in my 'My Pictures' files

Thanks guys, I have done it now, I tried the N/S cluster but there were a couple of wires that I needed that were'nt there..I looked in the O/S cluster and there was an old tow bar electric cable that had been cut off so I just copied the wires from that and jobs a good'un.

If anyone else needs to know what to do I have writen the colours down now so I know what goes where and does what in the event of a light failure.
