Just got a 2.8 petrol patrol 4 speed and it drinks like it's going out of fashion, and no i dont want to get rid of it.
so my question is what diesel fits with what gearbox and still fits in mine????

hi ern1e it's a 1987 swb 2.8 petrol on a 4 speed box.

i took it green laning on sunday and it done about 40 miles to and from site's and i worked out about 16mpg and it was only doing about 55mph.

any idea's what can be done????

the body work is very good so i dont want to get rid of it????

Hi mate sorry for the late reply not aclue realy why its drinkin so much when i had a 2.8 petrol patrol it had a five speed box try this site very useful.

Dont get a range rover!! stay nissan! lol! you wont be spending your money on petrol, it will be on spares! lol! ( i will get some grief for that!)

Go get a deisel...wont be fast, but will climb anything and do 35mpg all day long! I even have a spare!

Well what can i say???? They are ok just as long as youre not relying on it as a daily runner and off roader! They are ok for a dabble in either, and there will always be someone around that can help you out!
