I'm not sure what "Not the same type" means, because there's basically only one body kit.
There are differences in the front end which has been modified, and the newer vehicles come with the option of the hard top and/or doors rather than the "weather kit" for the older ones (like mine doesn't have in the picture!)
The biggest difference is that some of the newer ones are based on a Disco II chassis with the option of a Tdi engine; all of the Range Rover conversions are V8 as far as I know. Though some owners have seen fit to "improve" on the Rover block fitting a
5.7L Chevvy, a
twin turbo version, or even a
7.3L Chevvy with NOS.
Having said that, they are kit cars and, as such, customised as much - or as more - as any Land Rover with a standard body.
