Well...can't sell him - so time to wreck him :-)
« on: August 24, 2006, 18:48:08 »
As the long winter nights draw in, I fear that stripping Piglet and making him into something else is on the cards......

Maybe remove the roof....

Maybe switch the front with a Defender?

Maybe simply turn him into a 100" Defender?

Ideas please....or some readies to save him from my amatuer attempts at being different.....

I've gone for the garden ornament option....... so he can stay the same  :D

Piglet is an icon and deserves to be used or retired to a museum (but he'd hate it).

Why not hold a raffle exclusively for mud club members ?
with 3672 current members if 20% bought a ticket at say £10 each (surely worth a punt ?) then that would raise the thick end of £7500 - anything over what Neil wants could go to charity
I'd buy a ticket (maybe 2 !) and I am sure many others would too
Just a thought.......................................

Mud club already have a paypal account so this would be an easy way to collect entries
This way Neil gets his dosh, Piglet stays in the mud club and just maybe some charity may benefit

There's a nice 100" round this way that's Defender outer panels bolted / welded and hammered onto a Discovery floor pan and chassis - certainly looks the biz

That's easily done!

In fact the process of shedding weight would mitigate any costs that you might incur whilst 'converting'!
