How far did you travel to Malvern?
« on: August 27, 2006, 09:49:59 »
Hi All.

I visited the MUD-CLUB stand at Malvern yesterday. It was suggested, that we should see how far people traveled to see their favourite vehicles, and pick up a bargain.

I clocked up 458 miles. New Romney (kent) - Malvern - New Romney.

9 hours driving.  :(bloodshot):  Plenty of stops though :)

When i got there a bloke parked next to us in a ford ka, he'd come down from glasgow and didn't think his s111 was up to it. Just over a hour later i returned to the lanny to drop some newly purchased goodies off and he had already left. It's a long way for a hour! :?

Just a couple of hundred miles round trip.  It still feels quite a way at 55mph though.  This time I didn't break down, which was nice.

Morph decided to protest at being excluded from the family holiday by demonstrating the following failures all in one day..

Fuel pump packed up - Bad earth
Sender leaking - Had to be fixed before I dared fix the bad earth
Alternator packed in - swapped for the one off my IIa
Indicator relay packed in - Dry joint on the relay mech.

Just thankfull that the protest was on the driveway and local estate area.

As I've only just refitted the front Diff as well I gave up after that lot above until we've a few more miles under our belt.

Gutted me?
