OK

Anyone Know who they are?
Anyone Know what Sci-Fi Series made their lead composer hit the big time?

Besides that

Anyone have LiveMiles (Alberquerque) on CD at all that I could rip. As my original copy now wont play :(
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Just felt like listening to it this morning and got treated to the CD skipping all over the show.

Other one thats hard to find is the version of Dreamtime from 220V live with vocals :)

I've only got "Rockoon" and "The Best of" on CD although I've got about 3 or 4 other albums on vinyl including the live album "Encore", "Exit" and "Force Majeure".

Their first sound track was for Sorcerer (another album I've got   ) back in 1977!!
From what I've read, it was only Christopher Franke that did the Babylon 5 sound tracks, after he left Tangerine Dream.  :-k

I even saw them in live at Portsmouth Guildhall in about 1982!!  :D

Streethwak is the only TV theme they did AFAIK. There were a few films, including the one mentioned, Risky Business, Legend (Unicorn Theme) and Theif.

Franke Left in 87 IIRC and did a few other things before being brought into B5 to do the theme and abient music. I still think its one of the best Sci-Fi soundtracks ever.

B5, Sleeping in Light is probobly one of the most powerful bits of Sci-Fi ever too :)

Big fan of Tangerine Dream- I'm surprised more people haven't heard of them? Their music seems to pop up everywhere in films & programs.

Christopher Franke carried the band forward quite a bit, it depends on who you call Tangerine dream as franke is still doing sound-tracks in that sort of style.

Things have gottne more orchestral but its a good mix, try 'Voices of Authority' which was used as the theme for one B5 season.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.
