Need £8k fast

Guy up the road has a silver Lotus Esprit Turbo SE for sale, and its not one of the bad ones like the one I looked at last time.

 :(biglove):

Bunnie recons 3' suspention lift and MTs and jobs a goodun.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

Lotus dealer that looked at the first one suggested the later SEs were the better ones of the batch. And I dont think a Kidney and lug would get me one of them :)

Yup, I got the list of mods the one I looked at needed, thats why I drive an Audi not a Lotus now :) the temtation is there but good ones are rare under the £10K mark. Dont want to spend much more on something thats so impractical its just for playing really.

One I looked at needed work on the chargecooler, rear suspention and gearbox. Total was £5700 for the car, £1200 to get it on the road again, £4000 for the work needed to keep it there.

Oh, any my nearest Lotus dealer that can work on an Esprit is an hours drive away in Brighton.

Not sure about the V8s, the guy I spoke to said it took a few generations for Lotus to get anything right, and I dont think the V8 was about that long.

Wished they never binned the Esprit. Always wanted one and Always wanted the Delorean too. Having got one of the two I discovered the bodies were designed by the same guy.

I actually meant the last of the Esprit line, which had the V8 in. Talking late 90s here.
