Annoyed, dissapointed..

I was up there on saturday, on the push iron, the step is getting bigger, specially with the heavy downpours we have had.
Thing is, people are starting to take an alternative route around it and the bankings are suffering.
Someone has started to build a dry ston wall to stop people leaving the road but it has just been pulled down or the bits used to fill the hole so people can travel the lane.
Theres also some forestry work going on at the moment, so through the week the route may be blocked.
They have just been filming "Where the Heart is" around this area, and I think they have just done some more as theres been a few helicopters about.

The way around is a mess, we always go directly up the step.  If its that bad i will set the waffle boards up it won't be the first time.  Do You know if Dai's beasty is any nearer been on the road?

It was Thursday when I went up (or rather down) I noticed the disgusting state of the banking as well.
Yes, it's certainly washed out over the years. I think I first drove up there was in about 1995 (2A Light-Weihgt)

I must say I never noticed the wall, but the filled in step was exactly how I found it

Looking across from above the washouts, I was surprised at the actual amout of timber that had been extracted
When I got round to the (usually closed) gate, there was no sign of any timber piled up.
Not too sure about along Rakehead Road, as I climbed up Old Gate

Yeh its annoying when ppl do that. If it cant be done dont do it. What they need to do is what the farmers round here do is take some huge tree stumps from somwhere on the Tractor and dump them to stop ppl from going round.....
