Hello Ed, here is a link to that nice blue TRAILER HITCH RECEPTICLE PLUG which you saw on my Disco at Langley Farm.

The part number for the UK is ANR3196.

http://www.roverparts.com/ProductList.asp?Category=ACC%2E+%2D++EXTERIOR&SubCategory=TOW+ACCESSORIES&Vehicle=D1&PerPage=1&ListType=DETAIL&PartNumber=ANR3196G

It was only a couple of quid as far as I can remember.

Cheers.

Ed, I bought it over here.

I rang my local dealer with the part number and they ordered me one. Took a few days because it's not something they stock. They seemed a bit quizzed as to why I would want one  :?

Of course you wanted it to use it to make toast!

What did they think you wanted it for? It's a removable hitch cover for a removable hitch.

I guess it might be because detachable tow bars are not really the norm LR part and wondered why I would want one  :shock:

They are though fairly standard in the states which is where I first saw the item.
