Rant...
:x :x
Some kids in our village the other day, all three on L's wearing casual clothing, one on a hair dryer, one a small 50cc road bike thingy and one on a cross bike.
They were following a car CLOSELY at about 20-25mph, the hair dryer and the road bike side-by-side with the crosser behind. As I come round the bend towards them, Mr cross bike decides he's going to overtake his mates AND the car and presumably weave through the gap between me and the car as I pass it!
I saw him drop a cog and gun it (well, as much as you can with one of those). I realised what he was going to do as he weaved towards the centre of the road so I plonked the Disco right on the white line and made his gap disappear - he had to back out of it.
I might have been wrong in my actions but I wasnt about to have to scrape him out from under my car and treat him (I'm a first aider). Hopefully he might wait for a more sensible opportunity to show off to his mates next time.
Also, it just goes to show you don't have to have exessive speed and big bikes to make people act stoopid.
Cheers
Steve (who's two brothers had big bikes and who's neighbour currently has a big red Ducati - sounds awsome)
