We have a Megane II (new shape) 1.9Dci which has thrown a wobbler and the front wipers have packed up.

Does anyone know where the fuse box is on these things as i cant find anything of use in the manual, and renault dont open on saturdays!!

We have found a small fuse box in the glove box, but with a massive 8 (approx) fuses in it the wipers are not fused there....

Please help!

I think my colleagues Scenic has them down in the side of the drivers footwell if I remember correctly.

I think they are under the bonnet. My mates keps coming up with a fault on the little display theingy. Turned out to be the clutch pedal was out of adjustment. Something to do with the electronic handbrake. Was a pain, as it kept cutting out on the motorway.

Ususal hiding places :

Unde glovebox, in front of n/s supention pillar, alongside batter, drivers fottwell and if you have it, in the tray under the bonnet where the wiper motor/blower/battery/jack lives.
I must confess the the activities of the UK governments for the past couple of years have been watched with frank admiration and amazement by Lord Vetinari. Outright theft as a policy had never occured to him.

I've searched the bonnet as best as i can without removing every plastic cover in there but no joy.

They dont make it easy. I'm thinking possibly under the stearing colums like on the LHD ones, but unless they forgot to create a "flap" its one giant trim panel to remove to get to them!

On the Scenic, the fuse box is down the right hand side of the steering wheel, below the switchs, behind a little panel.

Sadly it appears not.

For the 5th time now i've scoured the car from front to back, boot footwells and engine bay but to no avail. I've even lifted carpets and removed just about every plastic panel in case its hidden but still cant find it :(

I think my first discription may be misleading when I said down the right hand side of the steering wheel. The fuse box on our Scenic is between steering colum and door, on facia just on right knee level.

I know the feeling! :(bloodshot):
I've got a Clio, (for Tarmac use!), & the central locking/immobiliser are connected.
Water dribbles in thro' the aerial,& the thing shuts down!
It's so theft-proof, even the owner can't use the car?
Had to drag it to a Dealer to fix!
If it wasn't so low mileage, I'd save up, buy a can of petrol, & torch it!

That faults been there since the Phase 2 Clio! Mrother's RSI used to do it till I treated the receiver to a bath in epoxy. Theres just no way to stop it leaking.

It's contagious  :(  Our Senic has been parked up, while we've been on holiday for a fortnight. Struggled to start yesterday and won't start at all today. Turns over ok, coughs and that's it.

Well, i went out to check it today and all was well, wipers worked fine, so off we went for a family outing to blackpool to see the lights....M6 J60 and the rain starts, J30 adn the wipers pack in leaving us no choice but to stop and get out with the kids and call the RAC

With his assistance (and the rain stopping) we limped off the motorway with limited visability and he had a look - apparently its most likely the main aux control unit being borked = £££££££

Not a happy bunny. Still we got to blackpool, and came home early, maybe next time we will stay for the lights!
