« on: September 03, 2006, 18:22:55 »
:( Have just got back from a few days caravanning near Great Yarmouth, had a great time and waved at loads of other Landies but they all looked at us as if we were quite mad!!  Does nobody wave up there?

funny. I went camping in Beccles recently and i also noticed no waves. On my recent trip to holland nearly every landie waved. Not sure if a geographical thing or not. Always makes ya feel nice when ya get a wave!

You were obviously in the wrong part of Norfolk Annabelle.... I would have waved at you  :D

It's possible that tha vast majority of LR's in the more rural areas are day to day farmers vehicles. Although many of them will wave too around my way.

I'll give you a wave if we spot you at Peterborough  :D

:D Thanks for all your virtual waves!  I feel better now, we are going to Peterborough on the Sunday, doing the off road course at 1030.  We will be in the 110, hope to see some of you guys there.
Cheers, Annabelle

This post is not inteded to be negative or aimed at anybody, but I always wonder this when I see these type of posts.

Why do you care how many people wave back. If you feel inclined to wave then accept that they might not wave back. Don't judge people or areas by it.

Lots of people driving Defender's drive them for work and in a lot of cases don't care or wonder why you are waiving at them and some just simply don't want to wave.

As I said not trying to make a point, just wonder why it gets to you.

Cheers

Steve :)

:? SteveG.........my post was really just an observation, not meant in any seriousness, of course I would not be so shallow as to judge an area by the amount of waves I get and really I don't mind if no one waves back!!  And of course I know that quite a lot of Defenders are working vehicles, as is our 110.  I think you have read too much into my previous post but its nice of you to be so concerned.
