Electrics are a nightmareFloorpan will be rotten as will the tailgate upper and lowerSuspension and body mountings will be KnackeredSwivel seals leak Engine, gearbox,both axels and transfer box leak oilHates waterIf its not doing any of the above It will be soonPS get a gas conversion
but we still love them,want them and keep them going.and no two V8's sound the same,well none of my 3 did
one of my mates got some pics; when I have a copy I'll post it.Dislocation cones are there so that if the axle drops too far and the spring pops out its housing they feed it back into it as the axle moves back to its normal position. I had a problem with mine popping out at full articulation and without them is rarely seated properly again. Rather than pay £40+ for some though I just added a couple of U bolts to stop them popping out at the top. Works great and was only £3 the pair. :D

Works great and was only £3 the pair. :DHo, hum....., you just wait until it rips the retaining clamps out from the bottom of the spring, slides over and rips your brake hose off and then gets jammed between the wheel and axle......., makes the £40 look damm good, don't it :!: :!:
