Im looking at upgrading my transfer box (lt230) other than Ashcrofts anybody reccomend any firms close to the midlands that supply ect or anybody know of offers on anywhere..........thanks..

There are a few recommended transmission suppliers in the region, but thats necessairly the same thing.

If you can give me until after the weekend, I should be able to provide a better answer.

What kind of up-grading are you considering?

Just looking to change the ratio , from 1.2  to 1.4 to help with the gearing ,due to bigger tyres..........

In that case, hows about just swapping for a Defender tranny box? It'll be a 1.4 in high range and the same as you've got in low (IIRC).

You could even go 1.6 if you wanted to really big-up the tyres!  8)

I'll still ask about at the weekend, though.  :wink:

City Gearboxes in Coventry will have them on the shelf and will happily do an exchange. I don't know of any going second hand yet, but I'm on the case.
