Hi does anyone know anything about these tyres,I've been offered a set but are they as good as machos etc.Cheers Pete

i had a set of  marshall all terrains 31/10.5/15 s a few years ago and they were a very good tyre, i would have another set.  :)
if it aint broke, then it just needs to be fiddled with !!

I've got a set of Kumho Venture muds, bloody fantastic tyres. The Jeep now goes through the deepest, stickyest mud as if it were tarmac!
Jeep Cherokee 4.0 limited. 3-4" lift, 31" Super Swampers, safari snorkel, bonnet mounted Hi-Lift jack, rock sliders, diff guard, TC guard, , Pro-comp ES9000 shocks, roof mounted spots, extended braided brake line, Prothane suspension bushes, lots of MUD!!!

Ok do I go for a set of marshall 33/1250/15's at £300 or a set of macho 31/1050/15's at £188.Like the idea of the bigger size but will I notice the benifit of spending an extra £28 per tyre :? .Pete

Just remember the Marshall/khumo are new the Machos re-tread I have Khumo's and they work very well for me.

I have had a set of marshall powerguard A/Ts in 33/12.50/15 for 4 years and 25k and they are only half worn !!
I am not a fan of remoulds full stop and at around £110 difference I would go for ythe new tyres over retreads.

Yeah, and from my past experience with Bronco Amazons (same pattern as Machos), if you like travelling at more than 55 mph (without being shaken to bits) then I'd go for new tyres over remoulds every time  :)

I seriously thought I'd got all manner of steering problems (even with the wheels properly balanced) until I changed the Amazons on my 90 for Pirelli Scorpion Muds - it then became rock solid even at 80 mph (which I'm sure with my inaccurate speedo was a properly legal 70  :wink: )

i have 35.12.50 marshal powergards on my rangerover they have been on since i bought it of my gdad and they have always got us were we wanted to go graet in the mud and good on road  :lol:
<-fully preped rrc
series 3 109 1 ton  in the midle of a full rebuild
extras :
            parabolic springs
            power plus cam
            235/85/16 muds
            lots of chequer plate
            lots more on the way!!!!

I'm not too sure on the exact model, but does anyone have a set of the Kuhmo (i'm sure they are???) that replicate the General Grabber M/T pattern

Any comments on them?

that wasnt the pattern. i have a set of machos on my RR and its perfectly happy on them at 70 (and the rest...)

- 'that wasn't the pattern'? Not sure what your point is here? The Amazon was the same pattern as the Macho, and I had a set of Greenway Machos on my old Bobtail that weren't a whole lot better at speed, though to be fair that could have been the Bobtail, I never did run it on expensive tyres!
Clearly it wasn't the pattern that was the problem (it is, after all, based on the Yokohama Geolandar M/T) - my point was simply that they were remoulds, and they weren't very stable at speed. IMHO the problem with remoulds is that you simply can't always be sure of the quality. In my case, replacing the tyres with Pirellis cured my wheel vibration problems.

i thought you were saying it was the tread pattern that caused the vibrations...from my experience the machos seem to be pretty good remoulds. mine have suffered a lot of abuse and they seem resistant to falling apart unlike other cheap MT's (my mate had a set of diamond back lookalikes of which 2 fell apart within a few thousand miles  :shock: ) and i dont have any vibration problems with them at all, unlike the tyres i use on my other RRC...michelin synchrones and they vibrate like mad even though they were balanced last week (again!)
