How do gentlemen.

I wonder if any one can shed any light on a gearbox problem (LT77).

Earlier this year the gear lever jammed solid I couldn't engage any gears and the transmission was locked solid. Iwas able to move the vehicle by putting the transfer box in neutral.

So I stripped the gearbox and the fifth gear synchro fell apart as I took the fifth gear extension case off. After putting it back together everything worked as it should.

Now then, if your still awake! seven months and  a few thousand miles later I'm having the same problem. While changeing gear, once from 5th to 4th and twice from 2nd to 3rd, the gear lever has jammed. Ive been able to move it back and forth slightly sometimes engaging gear but the engine stalls when the clutch pedal is released and sometimes the gears just grind. Just as I'm about to give up and ring the AA the lever will free off and I can engage all the gears as if there is nothing wrong. :x

Does anyone know what's going on. Can you enlighten me PLEASE.

Yeah but no but yeah but. If I put the transfer box in nuetral, high or low it doesn't make any difference.

Any idea as to what was wrong with the transfer box. Its got the crossdrilled input shaft and looked spot on when I had it out.
