Broken Glove box receiver

Afternoon ppl
Just closed my glove box and the receiver fell off. The lugs going through the metal plate had perished........
Any ideas on how to reattach the plate that has the glove box latch receiver and light attached to it ?

this happened to mine aswell  :roll:

all i did was drill 2 holes through the dash, just where the top of the glove box lid covers the holes while holding the reciever in place, being sure not to drill through my fingers of cousre

then screw threw a couple of longish self tappers, job dun  :lol:
