Hi Tom,

Has your clutch completely gone ?

As this week I thought mine was on the way out as it was grating in to each gear. I found out that on the early 200tdi's that there is a adjuster under the clutch peddle under the dash. you have to take out the trim and it is there

i just had to screw the bolt in with a spanner and no more grating into gear. sadly the next time there is no more adjustment left. so new clutch .

hope that may help

regards

Gary
