air rifle rack.
« on: September 10, 2006, 14:56:12 »
hi everyone,
iam going to make a gun rack for the series. i need it to hold two air rifles. i was thinking of two pieces of 1" angle about 2' apart, vertically joined to the rear bulkhead behind the seats upto the roof, then just a couple of u shaped brakets off each bit of angle to hold the guns.

has anyone got any other ideas?

cheers in advance.
mark

If you put some rubber/foam on the u-brackets that'd stop it rattling about so much while driving. Make the brackets deep enough that you could then put a pin or something through the top (over the gun) which would help hold it in over bumps.

Sounds like a good idea :)

good idea, i was thinking of how i was going to keep the guns from jumping out, i was thinking of a strap, but your ideas is better. i could also drill the pin so a small padlock could go through.

Here we go   Taken in a hurry so can take some better ones if needed :D . We use ours for horse bridles and tow ropes - just hangs on to the dog guard.
