Well i should never had got up!!!!!!!!

ere goes i get up to go to work at 6:30am this morning, on my out of my village i come to a junction where a 17ton rigid is stoped!!!!! so to me he has no indicator on either so i go out around him to find that the only place i can go into is between two parked cars, which makes me stationary now low and behold he turns into the road i came out off!!!!!! guess wot happens next his rear over hang miss the first car and takes me out all the way up the side of my landy i was beeeping my horn etc etc and he still carried on        He gets out of the cab and says, why did i pull out, i say well i thought u was letting me out as i could not reverse and he made no attempt at reversing either and as i thought that it was clear on the other side of the truck thats why he was staionary :roll:  :roll:  :roll:  so i also explained to him that obviously he was not checking his mirrors or he would not have struck me(before anyone jumps to his defense im a class1 driver and know its our resonsebilty for checking ur mirrors when turning to watch ur overhang)

Now the damge is quiet bad he has ruined me front drivers wing door mirror and rear panel and wheel arch!!!!!      so i can see this being a insurance night mare :roll:  :roll:  :?  :?  as th cost of the rear panel and a door and wing :?  and the paint job to match mine :? ..

yer im fine just mega angry i know its silly to be angry but it annoys me knowing that i was stationary and he should have been checking his mirrors but he kept going    thanks for ur concern debbie :D

Oh man that sucks. Glad you are ok but did he have music blaring or some head phones on? Why didnt he stop when he heard you blowing your horn Some people really shouldnt be on the roads :( Hope you dont have too much hassle with the insurance over it all!

cheers jim thanks for that comment :D  :D  :D  i hope this gets sorted asap i have been pricing it up from tinternet i reakon they might go for write of as the panels dont look bad but there all creased i know thats a hard repair and that rear panel is exspensive :?  :?  :?      any body shop /insurance type dudes can shed some light :?:  :?:  :D

You need a friendly garage who can price up spurious panels etc....  We did that when i stoved in my old Proton to get it down as cheap as possible.  Ended up straightening and filling the bonnett and front panel etc.

errrmm the insurance company have basically said that i have to use an approved company :roll:  :roll:  and u just know they will be going for full wack money  :roll:  :roll:

get it fixed properly if you can mate, will be better in the long run.

i would be mega angry as well if that happened to mine, very nearly did last night, head on with a class 1 bulk hauler! not my fault was v annoyed (path was my escape route)

get some pics up so we can all see what damage has been done!

if you had caused it on a tree offroading would you feel any different?

They can't do that, they can recommend a repairer but it is your car.  They may not give you a free courtesy car if you use somebody else though.  No way i would take mine to a unfamiliar garage.

The disco is yours and you have a right to have it repaired where you want! approved, non approved, aslong as your non approved quote is less than that of their approved there should be no issue!

In anycase, you are claiming off the truck insurance right?

Try contacting them, with your quote and deal direct with them, at the end of the day you could legally repair the disco (what ever the cost) and sue their sorry butt for the cash!

Their insured has damaged your car, end of!
